November 30th, 2015 — On November 12, 2015, The United States Minority Contractors Association (USMCA) held its 24th Annual Millennium Builders Awards and Business Expo at the Belvedere Banquet Facility in Elk Grove Village. Reverend Larry S. Bullock, President\CEO, USMCA featured numerous executives and exhibitors from major contracts and government agencies.

Business panelists and moderators discussed important information, such as building capacity through minority certifications and banking, insurance, and bonding services. Throughout the business expo, guests had the opportunity to extract information from the speakers who represent billions in procurement opportunities.

Preceding the Business Expo was the Annual Millennium Builders Awards Dinner. Elite women and minority experts were in attendance to network and honor those business leaders whose services exemplify “success through excellence.” Among the Millennium Builders honored was Alicia Garcia-Abner, President\CEO of Trinal, Inc. Mrs. Garcia-Abner received the Excellency in Advocacy of the Year Award. Through Trinal, Inc. Mrs. Garcia-Abner has been able to provide a range of diversity consulting services to help assist clients with their overall procurement policies and economic development initiatives. A few of her clients include Roundy’s Supermarkets, Inc. (“Mariano’s”) and Clayco CBRE Development Team for the New Central Campus Outpatient Facility and Office Building for Cook County and Cook County Health and Hospitals System, Rush University Medical Center, Illinois Sports Facilities Authority, and CMO on the New Malcolm X project. Ms. Garcia-Abner’s leadership is instrumental in the economic development and empowerment of women and minority owned businesses.
