Trinal, Inc. (“Trinal”) has been engaged by Roundy’s Supermarkets, Inc. (“Roundy’s”), the parent company of Mariano’s, as its Corporate Diversity Consulting firm. Roundy’s is committed to providing both access and opportunities to diverse firms who demonstrate the willingness and capacity to not only deliver but to also grow within its family of store locations. From professional services to construction, Roundy’s is committed to ensuring that Minority, Women, Disadvantaged, Local and Veteran-Owned Businesses are engaged and included in various procurement opportunities.
Toward this end, Mariano’s is seeking to pre-qualify contractors/vendors in various construction-related categories. This will be done through a pre-qualification application process. The purpose of the pre-qualification application process is to provide the project developers and their selected general contractors with information to determine which contractors/suppliers present the qualifications and capabilities to be awarded a bid package on various Mariano’s projects as they become available.
Companies are invited to attend the Mariano’s Pre-Qualified Contractor’s Outreach Event, which will be held at the Carpenters’ Apprenticeship Training Center located at 2121 South Union Street, Chicago, IL, on Friday, October 2, 2015. We will also outline in detail the construction process involved when a Mariano’s is built, the advantages of pre-qualification and the Mariano’s Mock Bid Process. Contractors that have been pre-qualified through the Mariano’s Pre-Qualification Program will then be scheduled for one-on-one sessions with the general contractors that have been selected to work on the Mariano’s stores to be built in 2016. We will also schedule one-on-one sessions with the pre-qualified general contractors seeking opportunities to bid as general contractors on upcoming Mariano’s stores with representatives from Roundy’s.
Companies are strongly encouraged to submit their Pre-Qualification Application in its entirety no later than Friday, August 28, 2015 to allow sufficient time to have their application processed and to obtain notification as to whether they have been pre-qualified. Companies that are not pre-qualified may attend the Mariano’s Pre-Qualified Contractor’s Outreach Event. However, only companies that are pre-qualified will be scheduled for one-on-one sessions with the selected general contractors that will be building Mariano’s stores in 2016 and, as appropriate, with representatives from Roundy’s.
