October 13th, 2015 — On October 2nd, 2015, Alicia Garcia-Abner, President/CEO of Trinal, Inc., the Corporate Diversity Consultant for Roundy’s Supermarkets, Inc. (“Mariano’s”) facilitated the 2015 Mariano’s Pre-Qualified Contractors Outreach Event. Derrick Ahler, Vice President Store Planning and Design at Roundy’s Supermarkets, Inc. and Gary Enos, Project Manager for Roundy’s Supermarkets, Inc., represented Mariano’s, who sponsored the event.

Minority, women, and disadvantaged businesses owners were given the opportunity to network, ask questions, and participate in one-on-one sessions with the general contractors that will be building the Mariano’s stores in 2016. Trinal was instrumental in facilitating the event and presented a Fresh look at Diversity through providing immediate access to general contractors and a strong social media presence with photos highlighting the event. Trinal also partnered with BJ’s Market and Bakery, a minority-owned catering company, E-Tre Productions, a minority-owned production company and Cross Rhodes Reprographics a minority-owned printing, signage and IT construction-related solutions company as part of Mariano’s and Trinal’s commitment to ensuring opportunities for minority and women-owned businesses.

This event would not have been possible without the support and sponsorship of Mariano’s. Their commitment to the minority community continues to be exceptional. Trinal is also proud to be an instrument for small businesses to have opportunities that may not be possible in such a competitive industry. Mariano’s and Trinal, Inc. are committed to finding ways where minority, women, disadvantaged, local and veteran-owned businesses are engaged and included in various procurement opportunities.
