We look forward to partnering with the Clayco and CBRE team who will provide the industry expertise necessary to realize the CCHHS and County’s vision for a signature facility commensurate with the high quality of care afforded the community throughout the system.”

Upon Board approval, the Clayco and CBRE team will begin a three and a half month Phase One programming and schematic design effort for the clinical and office spaces. Ground breaking is anticipated to occur during the first quarter of 2017. Phase Two will be the final design and advancement stage, with completion of the new building anticipated in mid-2018.

“Improvements in our clinical space and patient amenities will go a long way in making CCHHS a provider of choice,” said Dr. Jay Shannon, CEO, CCHHS. “We are looking forward to serving our patients in a new, modern facility that is reflective of the high-quality care we provide.”

The RFP process attracted interest from five national and international development teams. The Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership will work closely with the development teams on a community strategy related to hiring local people for project related jobs which will come available in 2017.
